Like all investing, if done well, it really works quite well. if you make poor investments it is terrible. I’ve created some wealth that’ll turn into a lot of wealth in 30 years when other people pay off my mortgages. But it’s a small amount of work, unlike investing in the market which is work up front, then you can set it and forget it for the most part and other people add value not yourself. but Real estate is a great way to invest. Me personally I stay at single-family residential up to four Plex, I haven’t got into apartments or anything bigger than that. If you want to make a astronomical amount of money you probably have to do something bigger than what I do. But if I buy a new income property that’s a single-family up to a four Plex one every five years or so by the time I retire I have 5 to 10 properties that are mostly paid off and can retire on the rent roll or selling them. Just slow and steady and patient investing. Make money on the buy— as in wait until the right deal comes along, don’t just invest at random.
